PlayFootball v2.0 Advice for Clubs
Hundreds of clubs across NSW have started accepting registrations through the PlayFootball v2.0 system, and more than 60,000 players have started the process of registering. We are coming into peak registration period right now – close to 5,000 players registered on Tuesday January 28 and we will hit peak numbers this week.
Football NSW has compiled advice for clubs surrounding common issues with the system to help your preparations for the upcoming season.
Product page
There have been some issues with the product page, with the page showing thousands of products and becoming impossible to navigate.
Every club has a product page of their own that you can link your participants to directly using your club’s Entity ID – here we show ClubChanger regional club of the year, Shellharbour Juniors FC: https://registration.playfootball.com.au/participant/find-products?referrer_entity_id=75271
75271 is their club ID – you can find your club ID in PlayFootball – when you log into the PlayFootball admin it’s the number in your URL: https://rego.prd.letsplayfootball.au/management/XXXXX/types
If you send your participants to the club link, they will see only your products – use the format https://registration.playfootball.com.au/participant/find-products?referrer_entity_id=XXXXX
You can also send participants a direct link to an individual product – each product has a number that is included in the product link in the format https://registration.playfootball.com.au/participant/product-details/XXXXXXXX
You can find the product numbers from inside PlayFootball by exporting a CSV report from your product page:
The product IDs are in the ‘id’ column – you can then use those IDs to link to each individual product if you wish:
Football Australia is doing more development in this space and we should see the results very soon.
Account Claiming
If your players use only their First Name, Last Name and Date of Birth, they are much more likely to be able to link to their previous records.
WWC exemptions
At the moment, WWC exemptions are being processed at Football Australia. This will be amended by mid-February, with clubs having the ability to review exemption requests – this makes sense; you know your coaches and volunteers! In the meantime, for participants in non-playing roles who are under 18 in particular, please advise them to note specifically in their exemption request that they are under 18 and cannot get a working with children check.
